The 2021 growing season featured a mild summer which allowed the grapes to ripen slowly. Heat waves and rain spells were limited, and the harvest was slow and cool. As a result, this vintage shows exceptional quality and elegance.

Mother Nature is intriguing and elusive, reigning on high with grace and beauty. Coming om our SIP Certified Sustainable vineyards in the cool climate of San Luis Obispo’s Edna Valley, this wine showcases the generous gis of Mother Nature. Our vineyards are less than 7 miles inland from the deep, blue Pacific Ocean. The ocean influence ensures that Edna Valley is one of the coolest growing regions in California. The unusually long growing season allows Chardonnay to ripen fully while maintaining a naturally high acidity. We show our respect to Mother Nature by creating this quality wine that exhibits the true elegance of Chardonnay from Edna Valley.

91pts Tasting Panel, 2020 vintage. Following a perfume of just-squeezed lemon, chamomile, caramel, and thyme, mouth-filling notes of lime chiffon, pistachio, vanilla custard, and ripe pineapple are soothing and seductive. Jul/Aug 2023

The Art of Making Our Wine

Its journey from a simple fruit to a complex, beautiful wine, is tastfully shepherded by the winemaker, asserting themself into the natural process while being mindful not to overly interfere with the wonder that is fermentation.
